If you’ve spent any amount of time in Bismarck this summer, you’ve probably experienced a spontaneous thunderstorm that quickly became dark blue filled with lots of rain.

For better or worse, it happens to us, too.

The scheduled date of Bre’s session lead to a lurking dark storm quickly approaching, but we were determined to have some fun while we could, so we explored one of my favorite spots north of town before the downpour began.

While the romantic wind and gorgeous scenery was so pretty, we still wanted to capture Bre in some sunlight so we rescheduled and I’m so glad we did! The peaceful water and sunset light was true perfection.
